Sonya Lin Thesing

Sonya Lin Thesing earned her Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and her Master of Business Administration, with honors, from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Prior to being a director of the Columbus Nanny Agency, she was a partner in Wayne Products, Inc., a golf equipment importer and distributor. Her responsibilities at Wayne Products included corporate relations, tenant relations, partnership marketing and financial oversight. Prior to joining Wayne Products, Mrs. Thesing worked in the development office of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC and was a marketing associate in the Smithsonian Institution Office of Elementary and Secondary Education in Washington, DC. Before entering the business world, Mrs. Thesing worked as an intern at the prestigious National Presbyterian School, an independent elementary school in Washington, DC and as a second grade teacher in the Baltimore (Maryland) City School District.
Mrs. Thesing has been married to her husband David, a medical equipment sales professional, for eleven years. They have two active sons, Maxwell (age 8) and Garrett (age 7). The Thesing family lives in Westerville, Ohio, and is involved in various athletic, music, religious and school activities. They attend St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Westerville, where Mrs. Thesing leads the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program.
Mrs. Thesing currently serves on the board of trustees at St. Joseph Montessori School and is a former officer of the Junior League of Columbus. She was presented the Junior League of Columbus’ Presidents’ Award for her work on the organization’s committee serving the Center for Child and Family Advocacy. She remains active in alumni work for Dickinson College, her alma mater, which awarded her the Hufstader Senior Prize upon her graduation. Mrs. Thesing was recognized in 2007 as a member of Business First’s 40 Under 40. Also in 2007, she received President Bush's Council on Service and Civic Participation’s Volunteer Service Award.
